Every year I try my best to get in at least one personal shoot of my own kids. Serving hundreds of clients as a family photographer I have to remind myself to practice what I preach…which is, in my opinion it is so very important to capture images of your family, and especially of your kids at least once a year because so many things can change in a short amount of time and they grow so so so fast – even within just one year! Each year is a milestone in and of itself, and the way they interact with each other as siblings are memories you’ll give anything to relive again down the road. For our family this year is extra special because things are about the change for us significantly! Besides the reality check of Ray and I coping with the fact that our first born Gabriel just entered grade school as a first grader, Jonah is in Pre-K for the first time, and Benjamin is getting potty trained and not a baby anymore (even though I still call him that), most of all we are expecting our first baby GIRL in just a couple months! The boys will for the first time have a sister to play with, love and care for. Being a mother of just boys for the past 7 years or so has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Raising them to be kind, loving, faith-filled gentlemen continues to stretch my heart more each day. They are the sweetest mama’s boys you’d ever meet and now having our long awaited baby girl I feel will only teach them even more on how to treat a lady in the future. The three of them will always have each other as brothers, and that’s special. And I wanted to have this shoot as a tribute to the 3 bros awaiting their new precious baby sister.
We are so excited and are counting down the days ’til November! These photos of the boys represent our excitement and joy and how their and our lives are about to change forever…and I don’t think they know what’s about to hit them…in the most beautiful way! We love you baby girl Pingoy…can’t wait for you to come. You are a dream come true and a prayer answered. I hope you know you have 3 bodyguards, aka your big bros, who will have your back for life. (Good luck! ?) Love, Mama and Dada. <3
